Ricky Lazaro
Associate Clinician, AMFT
Ricky is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to supporting individuals, couples, and families through life's challenges. He takes a solution-focused, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive approach to therapy, helping clients build on their strengths while working toward meaningful and lasting change. Ricky is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, an evidence-based treatment for trauma and other emotional concerns.
Ricky earned his Bachelor of Arts in Ethnic Studies from California State University, Sacramento, and his Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from National University. His academic background and professional experience have strengthened his commitment to providing compassionate, culturally responsive care to clients from diverse backgrounds.
As a Black and Filipino American clinician, Ricky values the unique experiences, identities, and cultural influences that shape each person's story. He strives to create a welcoming, supportive environment where clients feel seen, heard, and respected. For clients who desire it, Ricky can also incorporate a Christian faith-based perspective into the therapeutic process, integrating spiritual values as a source of strength, healing, and personal growth.
